Xisha Wetland is located within the Xisha Mingzhu Lake Scenic Area and is a typical tidal flat wetland at the mouth of the Yangtze River. As the only natural tidal wetland in Shanghai that combines extensive forested and reed marsh areas, the wetland ecosystem is exceptionally superior, making it a "ecological museum" of river estuaries.

The wetland boasts rich natural ecological landscapes, including water forests, tidal flats with reed beds, and 17 types of tidal channel landforms and geological relics of ancient anti-tidal mounds. In Xisha Wetland, you can choose to take a leisurely stroll along the 7-kilometer wooden walkway or cruise through thousands of acres of water forests, experiencing the enchanting beauty of the wetland forest from various perspectives and in various forms.

According to monitoring statistics, the Xisha Wetland region is home to 91 species of higher plants, 22 species of large benthic animals, 62 species of fish, and 82 species of birds. Among them, 19 species are included in the China-Australia Migratory Bird Protection Agreement, 36 species are included in the China-Japan Migratory Bird Protection Agreement, and 7 species are second-level protected wild animals in China.
