Jiangnan Sanmin Cultural Village - Dongping National Forest Park - Zihai Luyuan Romantic Love Theme Park - Beiyan Road

Jiangnan Sanmin Cultural Village takes traditional folk, folk custom, and national cultural elements in Jiangnan (the area on the south bank of the Yangtze River) as its theme, and classifies them into seven themes, i.e., clothing, food, housing, transportation, art, play, and business. It also has four major exhibition halls, namely, the Chinese Loong Palace, Chongming Folk Cloth Museum, Longevity Museum, Sanmin Art Museum, and 56 series of exhibition halls with Jiangnan features. You can experience the rich culture and folk customs here, or you can change your clothes into Hanfu to meet the thousand-year-old memory of the Han and Tang Dynasties.

Go along the avenue, through the fields, and by the households, and continue walking for about 6 kilometers, you will reach Dongping National Forest Park, one of the oldest plain man-made forests in East China. In the park, the forest is luxuriant, the lake water is clear and green, hundreds of birds sing, and the wildlife is rich. There are many scenic spots with fresh air and pretty scenery, such as drunken night in maple forest, drizzle in the fir forest, deep forest, Huaxi scenic spot, thousand-person barbecue camp base, RV camp, etc. Walking around the park is an ideal choice for returning to nature.

When it comes to romance, there must be Zihai Luyuan. There are provencal lavenders, alpacas (a mythical animal representing love in Maya), as well as Yuelao Bridge, Love Garden, Love Museum, and other romantic theme landscapes. You can also do DIY fun planting, aromatherapy and health care, and vanilla dish cooking, in an elegant style. It is graceful to be in the sea of flowers.

Since you choose to enjoy the scenery on foot, the Beiyan Road is also worth a walk. It is called the "most beautiful highway" in Chongming. The asphalt road, though not wide, is paved and clean. There are not many vehicles on the road. There are large rice and vegetable fields on both sides of the road. Village houses are scattered in the fields, which makes the scenery seem ethereal and clear. You will feel very comfortable walking here.
