Xisha Mingzhu Lake scenic area, a national AAA tourist attraction, is composed of Xisha National Wetland Park and Mingzhu Lake Park. The total area of the scenic area is about 11,900 mu. There are mainly two types of 17 typical geological relics in the park, showing the world's largest estuary alluvial sand island's vicissitudes of geological landscape and the ecological civilization of harmonious coexistence between man and nature. The ecological system composed of forest, wetland and lake in the scenic area has attracted dozens of birds such as silver gull, heron and cormorant to inhabit here. It is a comprehensive tourist attraction integrating "agricultural leisure, water entertainment and wetland science popularization" in the west of Chongming Island.
