Officials of the Shanghai Chongming Dongtan Nature Reserve Management Affairs Center said that due to the impact of the third-phase construction of the Chongming Ecological Island Ring-Island Flood Control Upgrade Project, and in order to cooperate with this major municipal project and effectively safeguard the personal safety of residents and visitors as well as the safe operation of the venue, the science popularization and education base of the Shanghai Chongming Dongtan National Nature Reserve will continue to be temporarily closed to the public.

　　The venue has been closed since October 8, 2025. As the related project has not yet been completed and construction is still ongoing, safe opening conditions are not yet in place, so the closure will continue. The reopening time will be announced separately based on project progress and safety acceptance results. Residents and visitors are kindly requested to keep an eye on the latest announcements on official platforms.
