The “Utopia Holiday” illustration exhibition at Westbank Oxygen Bar in Miaozhen Town has offered visitors a unique artistic feast. Familiar Chongming scenes - swaying trees along country roads, gentle river breezes in old towns, bell-tolling buildings - are reimagined through art, evoking islanders' memories while capturing outsiders' curiosity.

The artist Gu Xinfeng, a 90s-born native of Baozhen Town, employs a City Pop illustration style blended with personal imagination to create works celebrating Chongming. “Island Moments” depicts pre-renovation seawalls, showcasing nature's eternal cycles through tides and blossoms. “Riverside Grocery” transports viewers to nostalgic scenes of fishermen buying beer and smoking while children purchase snacks and soda.

The exhibition will run through August at Westbank Oxygen Bar.
