Recently, the "Happiness Corner" community elderly service station in Fumin Village, Gangxi Town, was officially put into use. The wide range of elderly services has attracted many senior citizens.

"Since the service station opened, it has become lively here. Every day there are different services for the elderly, such as blood pressure measurement and clothing repair. It takes good care of us elderly people and brings real convenience to our lives," Mrs. Wang, a villager, said.

It is reported that Fumin Village in Gangxi Town has a permanent population of 1,782, of which 64% are elderly people aged 60 and above. Taking into account the lower income of rural elderly people and their strong desire for family-based elderly care, under the guidance of the District Civil Affairs Bureau, the Party committee and government of Gangxi Town, together with the village committee of Fumin Village, adhere to the principle of "central location, and convenient transportation." With the aim of building a "15-minute elderly service circle," they rely on the shared platform of "Rural Shared Home" in Gangxi Town and combine it with the innovative rural governance project "Happiness Corner", continuously exploring and deepening the rural grassroots elderly service model, and realizing the normalization and diversified voluntary services of the community elderly service station.

"The community elderly service station refers to the elderly service facilities for the basic needs of elderly people such as life care, social interaction, cultural entertainment, and spiritual comfort. It provides micro-services of elderly care and meets the elderly's demands for family-based elderly care," said the relevant person in charge of Gangxi Town. "Happiness Corner" community elderly service station is transformed from the former village committee of Fumin Village, covering an area of approximately 500 square meters.

It is learned that the "Happiness Corner" community elderly service station in Fumin Village, Gangxi Town is the first demonstration elderly service station in the district. Currently, this service station has achieved daily activities, monthly services, and highlighted events in every session. Next, Gangxi Town will continue to promote the construction of community elderly service stations, standardize management, and ensure regular operation, making the service station a place where the elderly are willing to go, want to go, and love to go.
