It is learned from the Approval and Examination Center of Chongming District that the Shanghai Bicycle Center located in Chenjia Town has officially completed the comprehensive completion acceptance. This is the first indoor cycling venue in Shanghai, built to meet the standards and requirements of top international cycling events. The completion of the project fills the gap in the Shanghai indoor cycling venue and solves the problem of the Shanghai cycling team's long-term external training. It is learned that the 2026 UCI Track Cycling World Championships are planned to be held here.

The Shanghai Bicycle Center project is located on the north side of Chongming Sports Training Base in Chenjia Town. It started construction in June 2020 and has a total construction area of approximately 30,966 square meters, including a bicycle hall, a bicycle motocross (BMX) hall, supporting buildings, and an outdoor mud racing venue.

The bicycle hall is divided into three floors, with the first floor including athlete rest, training, medical treatment, bicycle garage, referee, VIP, organizing committee, media, and other competition functional rooms, as well as logistics and equipment rooms. The second floor contains a 250-meter standard wooden track, surrounded by an audience lounge. The third floor is the seating area and the audience lounge.

The BMX hall is located on the west side of the bicycle hall, with one floor above ground at a construction area of 1,470 square meters. It mainly includes a BMX venue, an equipment storage room, and some supporting rooms.

It is learned that to complete the comprehensive completion acceptance and provide valuable time for the subsequent internal decoration, equipment installation, and other work of the project, the district approval and examination center has planned, led various parallel approval departments, appointed assistant specialists, communicated in advance, accurately learned about the difficulties, worked out a dedicated acceptance plan, and solved the final bottleneck of the acceptance.

The head in charge of the Shanghai Bicycle Center project said that with the coordination and strong support of the district approval and examination center, the acceptance time has been significantly shortened, accelerating the operation of the center and ensuring the timely settlement of the Shanghai bicycle team.
