A few days ago, the Shanghai (Chongming) Station of the 2023 China National Fitness Walking (Running) Competition and the China Entrepreneurs Chongming Island Challenge opened in Chenjia Town. More than 1,000 outstanding entrepreneurs from all over the country participated in the grand event.

With the sound of a starting gun, everyone stepped forward and ran vigorously. The team set off from the Chenjia Town Bicycle Theme Park. Sports enthusiasts walked along Dongtan Avenue and Yingchen Highway, admiring the beautiful scenery of Chongming and completing a journey of "sports + nature" experience.

“After running, I still want to take a look around Chongming", and "Running in Chongming made my eyes shine", the contestants praised Chongming's ecological environment and sports atmosphere greatly.

The fitness walking (running) competition covered a total of 11 kilometers and set up four supply stations. To ensure the smooth progress of the competition, the organizing committee arranged a total of 130 volunteers and 40 security personnel to coordinate with public security, medical and other personnel to maintain order on site. Besides, two ambulances and several emergency rescue vehicles were deployed to ensure that the athletes could enjoy the joy of sports in a safe environment.
