According to statistics, Chongming has received 432,700 tourists during the three-day holiday, up 2.7% year on year. The tourism reception revenue reached 116 million yuan, up 6.4% year on year.

In the holidays, 20 A-level scenic spots in Chongming are available to the public, receiving 128,900 tourists, a year-on-year increase of 1.93%, setting a new high in the number of visitors received in the Mid-autumn Festival.It is worth mentioning that the attraction of Chongming's old scenic spots is still quite popular among tourists. Changxing Island Country Park received 33,800 tourists, ranking the top. Dongping National Forest Park received 16,100 tourists, and the Xisha Pearl Lake received 8,700 tourists, ranking at the forefront.

On the second day of the holidays, at the entrance of Chongming Dongping National Forest Park, tourists cooperated with the staff to measure their body temperatures, scan the QR code and enter the park orderly. Entering the park, the forest was lush, the air was fresh, the environment was beautiful, and the eyeful of green relaxed people.

The performance of peacock flying was one of the most popular events in the park. Two peacock flying shows a day started on time at the Peacock Garden Lake at 10:30 and 14:00. On the whistle sounding, hundreds of peacocks flew out from the other side of the lake and frolicked on the lawn.Besides the show, the interaction area of peacocks and turkeys allowed citizens to observe peacocks and turkeys from a close distance. Children tended to enter the area for feeding, interactive photography, and intimate contact with the animals. It was also learned that Chongming Dongping National Forest Park would hold the "2022 Shanghai Red Flower Festival" from September 28 to October 31. All key hotels were nearly full. The average occupancy rate of homestay also reached 63.93%, including 79.48% for star rated boutique home stay. Among them, the West Bank Oxygen Bar, Xiangduo Happy Farm, Donghe Jiugu and other old homestay hotels were fully booked before the festival. New homestays, such as Shihua, Jiuxiang and Hongge Bieyuan, were also popular. Homestay became a popular commodity in Shanghai's accommodation market, which greatly propelled the popularity of the rural tourism.

The "Moshangshe" and "Shihua", located in Xinhe Town, Chongming, were five-star boutique homestay in Chongming District. Zhou Qin, the owner of the homestay, told that during the Mid-autumn Festival holiday, a total of 30 beds in 8 rooms of 2 buildings were reserved.

Ms. Wang's family came from the downtown area with friends. For the three families with their children on a trip, the first choice was a boutique homestay with complete supporting facilities, beautiful environment and relative privacy.

"We made a reservation about a month ago. At that time, we were attracted by the quiet environment here. We can relax here during the Mid-autumn Festival. When we arrived, we felt better than expected. The boss was also very passionate, which made us feel the difference of the homestay."

According to Zhou Qin, in addition to accommodation and swimming pool, they provided tourists with special food and experience projects of Chongming traditional culture. "We integrate the elements of Chongming homespun into every corner of the homestay to show the culture of Chongming homespun. Every afternoon, we carry out fabric arts and crafts activities. In the evening, we also hold a bonfire party."

Uncle Gu's homestay group in Jianshe Town was also very busy during the holidays. The reservation rate of nearly 200 rooms in over 30 homestays in the whole group was about 95%.

At 14:00, tourists and vehicles were seen everywhere. In the parent-child activity park of the homestay group, many tourists took their children to play, fed lambs and experienced a different holiday life.

In order to improve the guests’ accommodation experience, homestay owners also made full use their brains."We have two picking gardens here, one for grape picking and the other for fig picking. Now free appointment to visit the old rice wine factory has begun", said Gu Hongbin, head of Uncle Gu's homestay group.

The bookings during the National Day and the Spring Festival have started. "At present, the booking rate for the National Day Holiday is about 80%, and the one for the Spring Festival Holiday has reached about 40%. Many regular customers have booked their next trips in advance”, said Gu Hongbin.
